This is a predominantly design-focused position, working across both mechanical and electrical considerations and taking ownership of product development and improvements. Salary: £45,000-£55,000 Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description Design panels, enclosures, brackets, fixings and sheet-metal components. Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings. Develop new designs from concept through to manufacture. Work closely with electrical engineers to accommodate switches, wiring, controls and electrical components. Review existing products and implement design improvements. Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and suitable for manufacture and assembly. Support bespoke and customer-specific design requirements. Liaise with manufacturing, suppliers and customers on technical and design queries.
