Teaching Assistant (PMLD)Location: Newham, East LondonContract: Temporary, Full-Time, Term-Time OnlyPay: 95- 105 per day PAYEWorking Pattern: Monday-FridaySANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant (PMLD) to join a primary school in Newham.This full-time, temporary role involves supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs within a specialist provision.Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, build independence and work towards their individual goals.The RoleKey ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils with PMLD and complex needsProvide individual and small-group supportSupport pupils'' communication using appropriate methods, which may include PECS, communication boards, eye gaze and other AAC systemsSupport sensory learning activitiesProvide personal care where requiredPromote independence, communication and social interactionFollow individual programmes developed by teachers and therapistsMonitor and contribute to records of pupil progress and engagementSupport pupils'' emotional wellbeing and positive behaviourWork collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staffCandidate RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must have:Previous relevant experience supporting children or young people with PMLD, SEND or complex needsA patient, caring and resilient approachStrong communication and teamwork ..... full job details .....
