PRU Teaching AssistantChesterfield In-Person Flexible Hours Supply BasisTradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to work within Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and alternative provisions across Chesterfield on a supply basis.This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, social, or additional learning needs. Working across a trust of schools and alternative provisions, you will play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.As a Supply PRU Teaching Assistant, no two days will be the same. You may work across a variety of settings, supporting pupils in small groups, one-to-one interventions, or within specialist classrooms.The RoleSupport pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning.Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive outcomes.Work on a one-to-one basis or with small groups of students.Encourage pupil engagement, attendance, and personal development.Work flexibly across multiple schools and provisions within the trust.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, care, coaching, or support setting.Strong behaviour ..... full job details .....
