QA Manager

An excellent opportunity for an experienced QA Manager to join a major fit-out contractor on a high-profile project at Stansted Airport. This QA Manager role offers a 6+ month freelance contract, taking ownership of all quality assurance activities across a busy airport fit-out project while working alongside an experienced delivery team.

About the Role of QA Manager

As QA Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all quality assurance processes across a fit-out scheme within Stansted Airport. Working closely with the Project Director, Site Managers, and subcontractors, you will ensure that all works are delivered in line with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

This role requires someone with a strong eye for detail and previous experience managing QA processes on commercial fit-out, aviation, or complex construction projects.

Responsibilities for QA Manager

• Managing all quality assurance procedures across the project
  * Developing, maintaining, and monitoring inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  * Reviewing and validating quality documentation from subcontractors
  * Carrying out site inspections and quality audits throughout the project lifecycle
  * Managing NCRs, quality reports, and corrective actions where required
  * Coordinating handover documentation and completion records
  * Ensuring all works comply with project specifications and client requirements
  * Working closely with site teams to maintain quality standards across all trades

Requirements for QA Manager

• Proven experience as a QA Manager on fit-out, commercial, or large-scale construction projects
  * Strong knowledge of QA systems, inspections, and quality control procedures
  * Experience managing handover documentation and commissioning records
  * Excellent understanding of construction processes and quality standards
  * Strong attention to detail and document management skills
  * Ability to build relationships with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
  * Previous airport or aviation project experience would be advantageous
