They are seeking an experienced and strategically driven Senior Director of Business Development to lead commercial growth initiatives and forge high-impact industry partnerships.Senior Director of Business Development - Responsibilities:

Define and drive commercial strategy to expand CRDMO services across biopharma, biotech, and cell and gene therapy marketsLead the full sales cycle for complex, integrated service offerings - from client acquisition and proposal development to negotiation, contract finalization, and pipeline executionCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Scientific, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Finance) to ensure compelling, compliant, and timely solutions tailored to client needsCultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and industry decision-makers at C-level and technical leadership levelsMonitor emerging trends, competitive positioning, and client needs to guide service innovation and market differentiationRepresent the CRDMO at strategic industry conferences, partnering forums, and client advisory committeesSenior Director of Business Development - Requirements:

10+ years of business development or commercial leadership experience within CRDMO or CDMO/service-based biopharma sectorsDemonstrated track record of securing and expanding multimillion-dollar service contracts across integrated offerings (e.g., from discovery through commercialization)Deep understanding of the RandD and manufacturing needs of pharma/biotech clients, particularly in cell therapy, gene therapy, biologics, or small molecule domainsExceptional strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership presence to manage highly complex, long-term client engagementsProven ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholdersWillingness to travel internationally and operate with a global mindsetMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
