We are currently looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at The Little Orange Door, Clapham Common. The right candidate will have experience of at least 2 years in a restaurant setting as Chef de Partie as well as high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

In your role as Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in the following tasks

Food production for serviceDaily compliance checksOrganisation and cleaning of the kitchenCovering holidays when needed or any other foreseeable or unforeseeable absence of kitchen staffPreparing daily staff mealsDelivering dishes to a high standard during serviceYou will be expected to work Wednesday to Sunday. This may change to fit the needs of bookings or special events on occasion.Skills and experience that we are looking for are as follows

Excellent time keepingPractical kitchen skills i.e. able to demonstrate knowledge and experience using tools such as kitchen knives and machineryGood food knowledge and a desire to give your best to every dishGood communication skills when liaising with staff members as well as customers and external contractorsA keen eye for organisation and cleanlinessAt least 2 years experience within a fast paced, professional kitchenWhat to expect from us
