re you a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant looking for a varied role within a supportive school environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school seeking a dedicated individual to support children throughout the school day, including Breakfast Club, Midday Supervision and After School Club duties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children across different age groups and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting pupils during Breakfast Club before the school day begins
- Assisting teaching staff where required during the school day
- Supporting children during lunchtime as a Midday Assistant (MDA)
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging social interaction
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times
- Organising engaging activities during After School Club
- Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting
- A positive and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A patient, caring and nurturing nature
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
