Our client is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join their friendly, growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering bespoke product, automation and materials handling projects from concept through to installation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys managing projects, liaising with customers and providing innovative engineering solutions. Liaise with the sales team to understand project requirements and specifications. Produce general assembly drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM schedules using SolidWorks. Work within project budgets and support purchasing to maintain cost controls. Create final build and installation drawings for production teams. Issue jobs to the assembly workshop and provide technical support throughout the build process. Work closely with assembly technicians and workshop personnel.
