Job: Teaching Assistant

Location: Chard 

Contract Type: Temp to Perm, Full time

Salary: £100 – £110 per day

About the role

We are recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well-established school in Chard to provide support to students with Autism and complex learning needs. Some pupils also have additional sensory, physical, medical, social or emotional needs. This Teaching Assistant will help support engaging lessons including Numeracy, Literacy, life skill and Personal Development.

Daily duties for Teaching Assistant

• Support classroom teaching and learning
• You will be required to support in creative Art and play lessons and outdoor activities
• Help students overcome barriers to success
• Build positive relationships with students and families
• Contribute to planning, assessment, and school improvement

Requirements for Teaching Assistant

• Previous experience working with children
• A valid DBS
• Motivated and hardworking
