Senior or Principal Transport Planner

to join a multi discipline consultants expanding Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you''ll work on diverse and complex projects, helping to shape sustainable, effective transport solutions nationwide.

The Role

As a key member of our transport planning team, you will:Lead the development and delivery of complex transport planning projectsManage project inputs from site acquisition through to planning application and discharge of conditionsOversee Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans, and strategies for residential, retail, education, and mixed-use schemesProvide expert advice to clients, ensuring their objectives are understood and delivered with precisionSupport and mentor junior staff, helping to develop team capability and cohesionContribute to business growth through high-quality consultancy and project managementWhat You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with strong technical and commercial acumen. You should have:Proven experience delivering transport planning projects in a consultancy settingIn-depth knowledge of NPPF, Section 278 and 106 agreements, and sustainable transport solutionsProficiency in TRICS, PICADY, ARCADY, and a working knowledge of LINSIGExperience with junction design (signalised, roundabouts) and transport modelling methodsA proactive, solution-focused approach and confidence in client-facing rolesWhy Join Us?
