Senior Geospatial Business Development Manager – remote (UK based). Location: Remote (UK based) – 1Spatial HQ is in Cambridge, UK. Employment type: Full Time Permanent. Base salary: £70,000-£80,000 (100% OTE).We are a geospatial software and services company with 40 years in business, 340+ employees, and operations in the UK, Europe, US and Australia. We deploy market-leading geospatial technology (plus 3rd party software) within critical national infrastructure projects.About the role
You will focus on public and private sector customers in the UK and Ireland market, building relationships with clients and helping them find the right innovative geospatial data solution to their challenges using a combination of our geospatial data management software (or 3rd party software where applicable) and professional services.Your primary responsibility is to engage with potential clients, understand sector challenges and individual needs, and guide them through selecting the right solution. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver offerings that create tangible value for business and technical leaders alike.Responsibilities
Engage with potential clients in the UK and Ireland market to understand sector challenges and needs.Position and demonstrate our geospatial data management solutions (and/or 3rd party software) and professional services.Collaborate with product, professional services and other internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and a smooth transition from sales to delivery.Manage opportunities through the sales cycle using Salesforce CRM with accurate forecasting.Identify and pursue new business opportunities; build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.Develop tailored proposals and ensure winning propositions through cross-functional collaboration.Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders; act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.Requirements
Required skills and experience:Consultative Selling:
Understand client needs, build trust, and create solutions aligned with objectives.Geospatial Market Insight:
Knowledge of geospatial data tech landscape, AI usage, and market trends; provide strategic recommendations.Subject Matter Expertise:
Geospatial data, tools, and approaches to delivering geo data challenges via professional services.Client Engagement:
Build meaningful relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted advisor.Opportunity Identification:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and qualify leads.Active CRM Management:
Use Salesforce to manage opportunities and forecastTailored Solutions:
Work with product and services teams to customize solutions using 1Spatial software, 3rd party software, or services; ensure smooth delivery transition.Winning Proposals through Collaboration:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to write winning propositions; balance competition with teamwork.Benefits
