AR894 – Area Sales Manager (Industrial Doors)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Commission & Bonus (OTE £60,000 - £65,000)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting a client in the search for an Area Sales Manager (Industrial Doors).

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets within a designated territory, with a primary focus on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts for industrial doors. You will also identify opportunities for new equipment, replacements, upgrades and modernisation projects while building long-term customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Achieve or exceed agreed sales, revenue and growth targets through the sale of planned maintenance contracts, service agreements and selective new equipment opportunities.
• Develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer accounts.
• Identify opportunities for contract renewals, service upgrades, multi-site agreements and long-term maintenance contracts.
• Identify and progress opportunities for new industrial door installations, replacements, automation and modernisation projects.
• Conduct regular customer visits, site surveys and compliance reviews across your territory.
• Produce accurate quotations and proposals tailored to customer requirements and site conditions.
• Proactively follow up quotations and manage opportunities through to completion using structured sales processes.
• Work closely with Service Operations, Engineering, Projects and Key Account teams to identify and develop sales opportunities.
• Maintain excellent awareness of market conditions, competitor activity, customer assets and compliance requirements.
• Ensure CRM records, customer information, quotations and contract documentation are maintained accurately.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, providing a high standard of customer service throughout the sales process.
• Gather customer feedback and use insights to continually improve service delivery and customer retention.
• Promote the company professionally, maintaining high standards of conduct, safety and customer care at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets within a field sales environment.
• Experience selling service contracts, maintenance agreements or industrial products is highly desirable.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify profitable sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy sales territory.
• Good administration skills with experience using CRM systems.
• Proactive, self-motivated and results driven with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Good IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
