Job Description:
- Plan and deliverandnbsp;engaging and thought-provoking History lessonsandnbsp;across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Foster a love ofandnbsp;historical enquiry,andnbsp;source analysis, andandnbsp;debate
- Encourage students to exploreandnbsp;diverse perspectives,andnbsp;global history, andandnbsp;historical significance
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that promotesandnbsp;independent learningandnbsp;andandnbsp;academic growth
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, includingandnbsp;trips to historical sites,andnbsp;enrichment days, andandnbsp;interdisciplinary projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive schemes of work
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teaching History at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
- Be passionate aboutandnbsp;historical scholarshipandnbsp;andandnbsp;curriculum development
- Demonstrate excellentandnbsp;classroom managementandnbsp;andandnbsp;differentiation strategies
- Be committed toandnbsp;inclusive educationandnbsp;andandnbsp;student engagement
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
