Our client, a well-established engineering and construction company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value mechanical projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of mechanical packages from tender stage through to final account, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.Key Responsibilities:Commercial management of mechanical projects from pre-contract to final accountPreparing, reviewing, and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecastsMeasurement, valuation, and cost control of mechanical worksManaging variations, change control, and contractual claimsPreparing interim valuations and final accountsLiaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersProcurement and management of mechanical subcontract packagesEnsuring projects are delivered within budget and maximising profitabilityProviding accurate commercial reporting to senior managementCandidate Requirements:Proven experience as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor within the construction or engineering sectorStrong knowledge of mechanical services and building services packagesGood understanding of contracts and commercial processesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong negotiation, communication, and analytical skillsConfident working in a fast-paced project environmentProficient in relevant commercial ..... full job details .....
