Learning Support Assistant The Role You ll be supporting pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many have experienced disrupted education, trauma, or a breakdown in trust with school. Your role is to help rebuild that trust and reintroduce learning in a way that feels safe, consistent, and achievable. Your responsibilities will include: Building safe, trusting relationships with pupils Supporting emotional regulation and encouraging positive behaviour Delivering 1:1 and small group learning and intervention sessions Helping pupils re-engage with learning at a pace that works for them Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams Being a calm, steady presence on the tough days and a champion on the good ones Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire Learning Support Assistant What We re Looking For You don t need previous school experience, but you do need: Resilience, empathy, and patience Experience supporting young people with SEMH, trauma, or challenging behaviour (education, youth work, care, sports coaching, mentoring, etc.) A genuine passion for helping ..... full job details .....
