Electrical Maintenance Technician Salary: £40,000 + Overtime Location: Cardiff Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00am 3:00pm (Regular overtime available until 6:00pm and weekends) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a well-established industrial manufacturing and recycling operation based in Cardiff. This role is ideal for a proactive maintenance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site equipment and machinery. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise production downtime. Work with PLC-controlled systems, AC/DC drives, and process control equipment. Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance reliability and performance. Complete maintenance records and ensure compliance with site procedures. Work collaboratively with operational and maintenance teams to support production targets. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards. About You Completed Electrical Apprenticeship. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. Experience within a manufacturing, heavy industry, recycling, steel, aggregates, or similar industrial environment.
