Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical Bias)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of multi-million-pound fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring designs are effectively delivered on site.
• Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders throughout each stage of the project.
• Keep up to date with the latest industry technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company quality standards, health and safety requirements, and project specifications.

Requirements

• Ideally, a background maintaining complex, high-value military equipment within the Armed Forces.
• Hands-on engineering experience with strong mechanical knowledge; HVAC experience would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate site teams effectively.
• An understanding of project budgets, cost control, and financial awareness.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and compliance standards.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
