Senior Support Worker role at CareTech. Location: Saltash. Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week). Salary: £14.17 - £14.99 per hour. Closing Date: Wednesday 1 October 2025.CareTech Community Services established in 1993, with 250 services, provides support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and in residential care. Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where requiredEnsuring that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory learning and assisting with their developmentCommunicating with the on-site team and raising awareness regarding individual care plans and their implementationMaintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluationContributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff developmentProviding support and care to the young people within our servicesEncouraging young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in current schoolingTraveling with young people to and from School or CollegePreparing meals and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry, etc.) to ensure a supportive environmentOrganising and facilitating social activitiesThis is not an exhaustive list; a full job specification is available. The young people we support are well adjusted to school, achieving good marks and engaging in activities. You will join a strong, supportive team in helping young people with complex needs. Must hold a full UK driving licenceMust have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children and Young People’s workforce12 months senior experience in a Residential setting is highly desirable; applications from those at the start of their journey are encouragedDBS and references checks will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practiceBenefits
