Press Brake Operator / Setter
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 per week
Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Location: Lichfield

Job role:
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator / Setter to join a busy production team in Lichfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating Amada press brakes, producing components accurately and efficiently to engineering drawings and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities as the new Press Brake Operator / Setter:

• Set and operate Amada press brake machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Select and set correct tooling for each job
• Carry out bending and forming operations to required specifications and tolerances
• Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment
• Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and accuracy
• Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements
• Work efficiently to production schedules and priorities
• Identify and report any quality or production issues
• Perform basic machine checks and maintain a clean, safe working area
• Follow all health andamp; safety and security procedures
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets

Skills andamp; Experience
Essential:

• Previous experience operating and setting press brake machines
• Experience using Amada press brakes
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and specifications
• Ability to work accurately and independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Good awareness of health andamp; safety in a manufacturing environment
• British citizenship (due to MOD related security requirements)

Desirable:

• Experience within sheet metal or fabrication
• Experience using verniers, micrometers, angle gauges
• Experience working with various materials and thicknesses
