Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a fantastic manufacturing business based in Burton upon Trent on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering robust financial reporting, driving commercial decision-making, and providing valuable insight into manufacturing performance and costing processes. The successful candidate will have strong manufacturing finance experience and a proven track record in product costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis. Production of weekly and monthly KPI reports for senior management. Ownership and maintenance of standard costing models. Detailed analysis of manufacturing variances including materials, labour and overheads. Review and monitoring of stock valuations and inventory controls. Business partnering with production and operational teams to improve profitability and efficiency. Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement projects. Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls. Support audit requests and statutory reporting requirements. Provide financial insight and commentary to support decision-making.
