We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join an established engineering software team developing software for advanced maritime navigation, surveillance and radar systems. This is a hands-on C++ software engineering role with responsibility across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from preliminary specification and software design through implementation, testing, verification and maintenance. The Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will use strong engineering practices to develop software for innovative products and solutions while supporting and enhancing existing software in line with commercial and product requirements. Key responsibilities include: Specification, design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of C++ software. Taking responsibility for all or an assigned portion of a software design through to verified software delivery. Software testing, verification and problem solving throughout the engineering lifecycle. Providing technical support and advice to less experienced software engineers. Acting as a technical liaison with customers, suppliers and engineering collaborators on software-related matters. Contributing to the continued development and improvement of complex engineering products and systems.
