Mental Health and Wellbeing OfficerSalary: £14-18 per hourLocation: East LondonJob Type: Part-time (0.8 FTE, Monday - Thursday, 9am-5pm)Contract Length: Term Time Only (38 weeks)Start Date: ASAPJoin our dedicated team as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer, providing high-quality professional mental health support services. This role is crucial in responding to social, emotional, behavioural, or educational concerns, particularly focusing on students with EHCPs, looked-after or care-leavers, and those at risk of failing their courses.Day-to-day of the role:Serve as the first point of contact for students experiencing mental health difficulties or crises.Deliver and contribute to the Academy''s mental health strategy and relevant policies.Collaborate with the DSL and student services team to identify and support students with mental health challenges.Work closely with the Senior Mental Health Lead and Deputy Director of Mental Health to develop clear referral processes.Provide regular data on mental health concerns, interventions, and the impact of support.Conduct regular one-to-one sessions with students to identify difficulties and develop holistic strategies to promote mental wellbeing and educational continuation.Implement and research mental health strategies tailored to individual student needs.Develop solution-focused outcomes that enhance students'' mental health and support their educational persistence.Coordinate with BCA SENCO to inform support plans for students ..... full job details .....
