Advising internal clients on all aspects of Adult Social Care. Providing legal advice to the council''s Adult Social Care service with a focus on Court of Protection work as well as ancillary matters such as ordinary residence; responsibilities under the Care Act 2014; funding disputes; Mental Health Act 1986 queries. Drafting court applications to the Court of Protection/High Court/County Court. Instructing counsel in relation to any Court proceedings ensuing from the drafted court applications. Drafting court orders and liaising with the Court. Conducting professional''s meetings (both round table and advocate meetings). Providing general adult social care and mental health legal advice. Such other duties and responsibilities of a similar grade and nature as may be required.
