Supply Desk is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join a progressive and supportive secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time role beginning in September 2025, offering an exciting opportunity to engage students with one of the most in-demand and fast-evolving subjects in education today.

Job Description:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that reflect the latest in computing education, including programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and data representation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student curiosity and problem-solving.
- Use a range of teaching methods and technologies to support diverse learning needs and styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions where necessary.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to continuously improve teaching strategies and curriculum design.
- Support the schoolandrsquo;s digital learning initiatives and contribute to extracurricular activities such as coding clubs or STEM events.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and wider school staff to support student development.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified Computer Science Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK.
- Have experience teaching computing or computer science at a secondary school level.
- Be confident in a range of computing topics, including Python programming, algorithms, networks, and emerging technologies.
- Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in technical subjects.
- Be passionate about digital education and keen to support studentsandrsquo; future pathways in technology and innovation.
- Be a proactive, flexible team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a clear, enhanced DBS check.
- Be open to professional development and ongoing training.
