Job summary: This role involves designing and delivering traffic and parking schemes and supporting Senior Engineers and Principal Engineers within the organisation.Key skills required : Traffic Engineer, Highways Engineer, Project Engineer, Principal EngineerResponsibilities

Design and deliver small to medium traffic and parking schemesAssist Senior Engineers and Principal Engineers with project deliveryContribute to programmes including Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, bus and cycle improvements, greening schemes, School Streets, and parking improvementsUtilise AutoCAD for designing traffic engineering solutionsCollaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomesProvide technical advice and support to the teamEnsure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulationsConduct site visits and assessments as requiredQualifications

Experience working in traffic engineering, particularly in a local authority settingProficiency in AutoCAD for designing traffic schemesStrong understanding of traffic and parking schemesSolid knowledge of relevant regulations and standardsGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage and deliver multiple projects effectivelyDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesRelevant engineering qualification
