An exciting opportunity has become available for a Transport Team Leader with our client, a leading Health and Beauty Supplier. This role will be a temporary role, potentially leading to a permanent position in the future. Outline; The primary responsibility involves leading a designated team within the Transport department of the Distribution Centre. This role requires ensuring that all operational processes are executed according to established standards, with a strong emphasis on safety. It is essential to identify and maximise operational efficiencies to enhance overall performance. Key objectives include ensuring timely and complete deliveries to retail outlets, thereby supporting sales opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction. Effective leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and continuous process improvement are critical components of this role to achieve operational excellence and meet business targets. The successful candidate will be responsible daily transport operation and manage any ad-hoc requests to meet business requirements. Key aspects of the role: Flexibility in your role including occasional extra hours and being part of an on call rota at weekends. The ability to motivate, coach and develop a team of colleagues in order that they are able to carry out their duties in a knowledgeable, efficient and safe manner.
