Payroll and HR Lead

Search have partnered with a business recruiting for a Payroll and HR Lead with professional to lead on core HR operations and in-house payroll delivery. This is a key role within a well-established People team during a time of digital transition and continued focus on people-centred service improvement. The successful candidate will be central to maintaining robust HR and payroll processes while contributing to strategic projects including the rollout of a new integrated HR/payroll platform.Role Highlights:Oversee internal payroll and pensions processing.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (SSP, SMP, PAYE, pensions) and support all year-end reconciliations.Manage end-to-end HR administration, including contracts, changes, on-boarding and policy guidance.Support line managers with employee relations queries including absence, performance and conduct.Generate HR and payroll data insights to inform decision-making and reporting.Play a key role in systems development and process improvement aligned with the wider people strategy.Support the transaction of a new payroll system integrationYour Profile:CIPD Level qualified (or equivalent experience) with a solid grounding in both HR operations and in-house payroll.Comfortable managing multiple deadlines, high-volume data, and sensitive information with care and accuracy.Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.Strong technical skills in Excel and payroll/HR systems.The ..... full job details .....
