Seeking an Aerospace Quality / First Article Inspector to be based on-site supporting a customer programme in Wolverhampton, working full-time, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have hands-on inspection experience within aerospace and be confident performing First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 standards. The support will include:Interpretation of engineering drawings and GDandT requirementsDimensional and visual inspection of complex aerospace componentsConducting AS9102 First Article Inspections and preparing FAIRsUse of manual and automated inspection equipmentSupport with CMM inspection activities (Zeiss Calypso experience advantageous)Producing clear and accurate inspection reportsWorking with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issuesSupporting inspection needs during NPI phasesExperience requirements:Previous experience in aerospace quality inspection (FAI experience essential)Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsGood working knowledge of manual inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, etc.)Experience within an AS9100 quality systemFamiliarity with CMMs or automated inspection systems advantageousStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentAble to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesBased within a commutable distance of Wolverhampton The role falls inside IR35. ..... full job details .....
