Our client is a pioneering precision engineering firm, whose products have a global reach. They are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to be responsible for all aspects of 3D design using Solidworks. You will design and create professional drawings for their production staff, subcontractors and customers.
  
Reporting into the Engineering Director, the successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will have responsibility for the accurate design of components and their assemblies utilising Solidworks/3D CAD, and any other software or otherwise. You will understand the calculations involved in specifying the correct design for each part and be able to demonstrate your reasoning for any design you are responsible for.
  
This is a great opportunity for a graduate to learn from a hands-on point of view, working in a small team will result in your gaining some incredible experience.
  
The successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will need a degree, or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering. Any work experience or year in industry will strengthen your application. Our client’s preference is that you have already used and are competent with Solidworks and you are able to make hand calculations.
