They’re building a passionate, forward-thinking team committed to making a positive difference in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design and engineering of major mechanical components and subsystems, guiding their technical direction.Play a hands-on role in larger projects, identifying and resolving performance or design issues within existing mechanical systems.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, encouraging growth and collaboration within the team.Help shape and continuously refine development practices, tools, and workflows for greater efficiency and innovation.

Requirements

2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience designing and building mechanical systems for automation and handling of small componentsFamiliarity with high-speed automated systems for material transferStrong problem-solving skills and a creative, solutions-focused mindsetProficient in SolidWorks for mechanical designHands-on experience working with stepper and servo motors, as well as automated material handling equipment

Desirable Experience

Background in designing durable, high-precision systemExperience with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printingDeveloped low-power automated machines or devices, such as animatronics, vending units, or automation in food/pharmaceutical production
