Your knowledge and passion for great food will help to deliver the Jamie''s experience, ensuring that by the time they leave, theyve not only learnt something new, experienced amazing service with great food and drink, but that theyre leaving feeling part of the family and want to come back.PositionWHAT YOURE HERE TO DORepresent the companys high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times during a shiftDemonstrate efficient time keeping, presentation and workflowHave advanced fresh food knowledge, understanding of the brand, cookery methods/techniquesDeputise for the Junior Sous Chef at times, leading by example and ensuring the smooth and safe running of kitchen at all timesHave a full understanding of COSHH, health and safety, allergens, temperature records, labelling of fridges and food including blast chillingMaintain service of food to assigned task standards/spec/batch cookingEnsure the mise en place of the section is performed to high standards required at all timesTo maintain the high presentation, correct plating and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefsMaintain the standards and culture of the team by setting an example to new and existing members of staff and assisting in their training when requiredTo maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up-keep of equipmentEnsure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefsCommunicate all issues directly to Senior Chefs with regard to section operationRelate all ordering requirements for that section to the Service Chef or Senior Chefs when instructedTo contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit as well as having an active interest in employees welfare, safety and developmentCommunicate any issues directly to Senior Chefs and support Junior ChefsRequirementsWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWConfidently be able to run at least two sections in the kitchenEnsure specials created and signed off by senior chefs are achieving targeted GP%To provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all timesMaintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all departmentsTo ensure you have a thorough understanding of and adhere to Jamie Olivers Catherine Street regulations in particular the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, food safety and allergensTo ensure you, as an employee, report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform at all times, maintaining the highest standard in hygiene and groomingTo be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capacity as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments if required, to meet business demands and guest service needsFully understand opening and closing process and how to write and follow a prep listComplete understanding and demonstration of recipe knowledge and portion controlCarry out any other reasonable duty that may be requested by the managerTo attend meetings and training as and when requiredOther informationWHAT WE OFFER IN RETURN
