Key Responsibilities of a Year 3 Teacher

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum
• Create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
• Maintain high expectations for learning, progress, and behaviour
• Assess pupil progress regularly and communicate effectively with families
• Work closely with colleagues and play an active role in the wider life of the school

Year 3 Teacher Requirements

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - PGCE or equivalent
• Have experience teaching in KS2 (ideally Year 3), though ECTs are encouraged to apply
• Bring energy, creativity, and strong classroom management skills
• Be reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and caring staff team
