Product Support Engineer Lead

Our client is seeking a Product Support Engineer Lead to join their Production Engineering team. This permanent position is responsible for leading the Product Support Engineering team and providing technical support for assembled products throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day activities and priorities of the Product Support Engineering team.
• Train, develop, and support Product Support Engineers.
• Act as the primary escalation point for assembly-related product issues.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for assembly operations.
• Coordinate activities with design, quality, supply chain, production, and suppliers.
• Support supplier discussions relating to parts, sub-assemblies, and manufacturing.
• Represent the department at review meetings.
• Support production teams in achieving output and efficiency targets.
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements:

• Experience leading technical teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sensors, electrical engineering, and fabrication processes.
• Experience providing technical guidance and resolving complex product issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience supporting supplier and manufacturing activities.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
