Mechanical Service Engineer
Major Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected engineering company based in Atherton.We are currently seeking a skilled to join their experienced team.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale engineering environment, maintaining and servicing a wide range of CNC machinery critical to production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to maximise machine uptime and reliabilityDiagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on 5 axis CNC machinery, including spindles, axes, and tool changersPerform machine alignment, calibration, and accuracy checks to maintain tight tolerancesRespond promptly to breakdowns and implement effective fault-finding solutionsStrip, inspect, repair, and rebuild mechanical components as requiredSupport the installation, commissioning, and relocation of CNC equipmentCarry out basic diagnostics on CNC control systems such as Fanuc 5 axis CNCMaintain accurate service records and maintenance documentationEnsure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and site proceduresWork closely with production teams to minimise disruption and improve performanceIdentify recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesMonitor and manage spare parts usageSupport and guide operators on basic maintenance and safe machine operationWorking HoursMonday to Thursday: 6:45am - 3:15pmFriday: 6:45am - 2:15pm Benefits25 days holiday ..... full job details .....
