Jamie Olivers Catherine Street is housed in a Grade I listed building in Londons Covent Garden, Catherine Street is an independent, produce-focused restaurant.As a member of Jamie''s Pastry team, youll be working in a dedicated, separate and wide ranging pastry kitchen. Everything is made in house from restaurant desserts, ice-creams, show stopping cakes to afternoon tea!This is a unique opportunity to help us grow an exciting new venture for our business.The successful candidate will work a 42 hour week which will mostly cover day shifts between Monday -Sunday. There will be times that evening and late night shifts are required however this role offers a great work life balance whilst still being a chance to learn and hone your skills.WHAT YOURE HERE TO DODemonstrate efficient time keeping, presentation, attention to detail and workflowHave good pastry knowledge and skills and a willingness to learn and developHave a full understanding of COSHH, health and safety, allergens, temperature records, labelling of fridges and food including blast chilling and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up-keep of equipmentMaintain the high presentation, correct plating and cooking of food at all times with guidance from Pastry Head and Sous ChefMaintain effective working relationships with Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group and LWT staffWHAT YOU NEEDStrong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyTo be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capacity as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments if required, to meet business demands and guest service needsFully understand opening and closing process and how to write and follow a prep listComplete understanding and demonstration of recipe knowledge and portion controlANYTHING ELSE
