Lead – Hospital and Retail business - UKJob Purpose:Drive national sales performance against revenue, margin and volume targets across UK wholesale and NHS channels. Continue in delivering consistent growth, but also to maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including wholesalers, procurement teams, NHS decision-makers, and internal departmentsKey AccountabilitiesDrive national sales performance against revenue, and volume targets across UK wholesale and NHS channelsLead account plans and execute strategies that drive sales across wholesalers and NHS customers.Monitor regional performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.Develop and maintain robust KPIs and sales tracking dashboards.2. Margin management.Ensure product margins are optimised, delivering profitable growth across all accountsEnsure product pricing and deal structures are aligned with company margin expectations.Monitor customer profitability and take corrective action where margins fall below threshold.Collaborate with finance team to review pricing strategies regularly.Implement tactical rebates/promotions that support both sales growth and margin protection3. NHS Tender and Off- Contract Sales.Maximise success in NHS tenders through strategic planning, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Identify and pursue NHS off-contract opportunities to expand market share.Lead the preparation and submission of NHS tenders, ensuring competitive and commercially viable bids.Track and report success rates in NHS tenders, and drive continuous improvement in win rates.Identify and develop off-tender opportunities to increase NHS penetration.Build key relationships with procurement hubs, CMUs, and NHS trusts to influence tender outcomes4. Forecasting and Inventory Management.Deliver accurate sales forecasts and collaborate closely with supply chain to ensure optimal stock levels and minimal waste.Produce and maintain accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts by product and customer.Ensure forecasts are aligned with market share aspirations, pipeline expectations, and demand fluctuations.Work closely with supply chain to align stock availability with forecasted demand.Minimize excess inventory and obsolescence to reduce financial write-offs and wastage5. New Product Development.Identify and communicate market needs and product gaps to support pipeline development and portfolio expansion.Identify gaps in the market and unmet NHS or wholesaler needs through data and customer feedback.Submit structured NPD proposals with supporting commercial rationale.Partner with regulatory, RandD, and portfolio teams to support product development and launch planning.Provide commercial insights during product lifecycle evaluations and launch reviews6. Stakeholder Engagement.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including wholesalers, procurement teams, NHS decision-makers, and internal departments.Maintain regular engagement with key national accounts, including wholesalers, pharmacy groups, and NHS procurement leads.Negotiate annual terms, rebates, and supply agreements to secure business continuity.Act as the senior commercial point of contact for high-level escalations and negotiations.Represent the company at relevant industry meetings, forums, and eventsMonitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and NHS policies to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.Track competitor launches, pricing shifts, and NHS policy updates that impact market access or share.Maintain and update competitor intelligence files and reports for internal stakeholders.Translate insights into strategic actions (e.g., defensive pricing, accelerated launches, etc.).Brief the leadership team regularly on market dynamics and risks/opportunities.Bachelor''s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
