WASTE & RECYCLING PROCESSING SPECIALIST REQUIRED TO MANAGE A TEAM OF PRODUCTION STAFF AT A HIGH OUTPUT PLANT

TITLE: Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling Production Site

SALARY: £50-60K DOE plus 25 days hol, health cash plan, 2 x death in service

LOCATION: You will live in the South Lancashire, North Cheshire or Merseyside area

YOUR SITE MAY HAVE PROCESSED OR WORKED IN: RDF, SRF, Demolition Waste, Open Windrow Composting, Landfill, Construction Waste, Recycled Aggregates, Biomass, Wood Waste, Scrap Metal, Waste Plastics, In-Vessel Composting, Anaerobic Digestion, Dry Mixed Recycling, Clinical Waste, MBT, MRF, Transfer Station, Green Waste

ROLE: Site Manager – Waste Management & Recycling Production Operations

You lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the plant, delivering daily production to required quality, volume and customer standards. 
You drive performance through KPIs and data, own quality control, and champion Health, Safety and Environmental excellence across all activities. 
You coordinate closely with contracts, logistics and customers to manage deliveries, resolve operational issues and maintain strong senior level relationships. 
You identify and manage operational and contractual risks, lead and develop the operations team, and plan maintenance to maximise plant availability. 
You control budgets, optimise resources and implement continuous improvement to reduce waste, enhance efficiency and support cost effective operations.

EXPERIENCE: Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling Production Site

You will have 2+ years’ experience managing waste, quarry or aggregates processing / production type operations (collections or waste transfer focussed backgrounds not considered)

You will be a strong man manager

You will have a UK Driving Licence

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
COTC / WAMITAB Level 4 
NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
Full UK Driving Licence
