Hydraulic ModellerManchester 35,000 - 50,000 A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Hydraulic Modeller to join their established flood risk and water team in Manchester.The role will involve working on a range of flood risk, drainage and water environment projects across the UK, with the opportunity to develop technically within a growing team.The RoleDeveloping and running 1D and 2D hydraulic modelsFlood risk assessments and flood mappingSurface water, fluvial and drainage modellingModel build, verification, calibration and sensitivity testingAnalysis and interpretation of hydraulic modelling outputsPreparing technical reports and flood risk assessmentsSupporting the development of drainage and flood mitigation schemesWorking with GIS data and producing flood mappingLiaising with clients, local authorities and other project stakeholdersSupporting multidisciplinary teams across wider water and infrastructure projectsRequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious experience in hydraulic modelling or flood risk consultancyExperience using Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOWGood understanding of UK flood risk and drainage principlesExperience with GIS, particularly ArcGIS or QGIS, would be beneficialStrong technical report writing skillsGood communication and project management skillsFull UK driving licenceThis is an excellent opportunity for a Hydraulic Modeller looking to join ..... full job details .....
