TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Monmouth that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within their Specialist Resource Base (SRB). The school promotes an inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop socially, emotionally and academically through tailored support and positive relationships.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September 2026. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with ALN and challenging behaviour through 1:1 support and small group interventions, helping to deliver individual development plans and encouraging engagement within the classroom environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with children with ALN and challenging behaviour

Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups

A patient, resilient and nurturing approach

Strong behaviour management skills

The ability to support individual development plans

A positive and proactive attitude
