Rikama Education are working with a SEN School in Broadstairs who are looking for Healthcare Assistant or carer of children with special needs. Working on shift basis supporting SEN Students within a school environment, we are interested in Healthcare assistants, carers of children or someone with supporting young people with difficulties with behaviour or complex needs. Skills Required • To receive students who are ill into the welfare room and carry out an initial first aid check and ensure appropriate care and administer first aid. • Attend to the students who are feeling unwell or are injured. • Day to day care of pupils for injuries, illness, and pupils with serious medical conditions. • Administer first aid to students and staff within the competencies of the First Aid Certification to be held by the post holder. • To decide whether students will need further medical attention and take appropriate action. • Attend emergency medical incidents wherever they occur in the School and undertake whatever action necessary to stabilize and assist the casualty, which may include calling the emergency services.
