Job Opportunity – Residential Care Worker Children’s Home (RCW) Bolton

We are supporting an outstanding Children's Provider in their search for dedicated Residential Care Workers (RCW). Join a rewarding team in delivering high-quality care with the following opportunity:

  • Location: Bolton
  • Experience Preferred: Experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting preferred; NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent desirable. Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
  • Role Overview: Provide exceptional care to children and young people aged 16-18 with complex backgrounds, challenging behaviour, and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD), using a systemic therapeutic approach. Responsibilities include supporting personal care, health, education, and recreational activities, promoting care plans (health, education, independence, social, emotional, and personal well-being), and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Maintain high standards of professional conduct, promote cultural and religious needs, and ensure compliance with organisational policies, health and safety standards, and data protection regulations. Record events, write reports, and attend meetings (e.g., LAC, education). Transport young people to family contact, school, or health appointments. Act as a role model and mentor new staff. Note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as the provider does not hold a sponsorship licence.
  • Salary & Benefits: £11.44–£12.19 per hour plus £50 sleep-in allowance. RCW: 37 hours per week on a rota system; Relief RCW: hours as required.
