Financial Accountant
As a Financial Accountant in the public sector, you''ll focus on supporting financial reporting and analysis to help the organisation make informed decisions. This temporary role in finance involves handling data, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate financial tracking within a pensions function. Client Details This role is within a Local Authority. Description Production of timely and accurate financial reports for the Pension Fund including annual accounts and annual report. Processing year-end adjustments e.g. accruals, valuations, etc. To provide monitoring information as required to assist in the management of the Fund Work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data. Maintain detailed and organised financial records. Completion of statutory and statistical data returns in accordance with their requirements. Profile A successful Financial Accountant should have: Full accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA,CIMA). Proficiency in financial reporting and data analysis. Experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within Local Authority pensions. Knowledge of public sector financial regulations(LGPS). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
