SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a degree and a passion for supporting young people?A supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from now until the end of the academic year, with the strong possibility of extension into September 2026 for high-performing candidates. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with SEND across KS3 and KS4Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions tailored to individual needsAdapt learning resources in collaboration with teaching staffAssist with behaviour support and promote an inclusive, positive environmentWork closely with the SENCO and wider support team on student support plansBuild strong, professional relationships with students, staff, and parents Requirements To be considered, you must have: Previous experience working in a UK school settingA degree in any subject Experience supporting students with SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SpLD or speech and language needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, resilient, and proactive mindsetConfidence supporting learning within a busy secondary environment What the School Offers Supportive SEN department with ongoing training and CPDValuable experience for those considering teacher training, educational psychology, or youth workA collaborative school culture that prioritises student ..... full job details .....
