Electrical Sales Engineer

Leeds area

Technically qualified engineer required for an internal sales engineering role for a growing organisation in the Leeds area. Ideally you will have some relevant work or placement experience in and a second language would also be of great interest.

You will initially work with existing clients maintaining relationships, processing, and managing customer orders and providing technical support. Your role as a Sales Engineer will be 80% office based in Leeds and will include:

-Liaising with existing customers on a day-to-day basis regarding orders, post sales enquiries & issues

-Providing comprehensive technical support by phone, email and face to face when necessary

-Building up and managing excellent customer relationships with distributors and end users

-Up selling and cross selling where possible

-Researching and cold calling new and potential customers

-Providing quotations, producing BOM''s and purchasing from existing suppliers

-Working with internal development teams and external manufacturers to ensure client specifications are met

You will be :

-A confident engineer with excellent communication skills happy to take on a sales role

-Hold a relevant technical qualification: Electronics, Electrical, Control systems, Automation or Mechanical (must understand electrical fundamentals)

-Have excellent communication and persuasive skills

-Have confident administration and organisational skills

-Be a good problem solver

-Ideally have worked in a sales or customer support role

-Hold a full UK driving licence

We are particularly keen to hear from people with:

-A second language

-Experience in ATEX environments, beneficial but not essential.

-Knowledge of materials handling or special purpose machinery

-Experience with sensors and instrumentation
