The Premier League''s Finance department is looking for a recently qualified Management Accountant to join the team. This team member will lead on reporting and provide business partnering support to various Premier League departments as well as managing the finances of affiliated companies and subsidiaries. We are looking for a candidate with attention to detail, technical ability and strong interpersonal skills.

The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, we protect the organisation''s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

The Role

Responsible for all financial reporting aspects of the Premier League Charitable Fund Limited, Professional Game Academy Audit Company Limited and certain Premier League operations including

Preparation of monthly management accountsBalance sheet reconciliationsStatutory accounting and liaison with external auditorsCorporation tax computationsVAT return submissionsBudgetingLiaison with the management team of each businessResponsibilities will also cover certain departments within the Football Association Premier League LimitedBusiness partnering with various Premier League departments including Football, Communications and the Policy and Social Impact departmentResponsible for collation and review of youth development financial submissions from clubsData analysis and preparation of benchmarking reportsFinancial due diligence analysisAssist with ad hoc tasks and projects across the Finance functionRole Requirements

Chartered accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) - up to two years post qualificationAbility to apply a structured approach towards balancing multiple demands and priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelEnthusiastic, self-motivated and a good team playerKnowledge of working with accounting software, Concur, Microsoft Dynamics GP and 365 FandO system desired but not requiredUnderstanding of charity accounting standards is desired but not required.Our commitment to safeguarding includes implementing robust safer recruitment procedures to assess the suitability of individuals applying for roles that involve work with children and adults who are or may be at risk of harm.
