Secondary Learning Support Tutor - Wrexham Location: Wrexham Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are recruiting a dedicated Secondary Learning Support Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 education for a learner in Wrexham. The role would suit an adaptable educator who can support academic development while helping a young person rebuild confidence, establish positive learning routines and engage with education. Key Responsibilities Deliver structured 1:1 tuition tailored to the learner Support core subjects according to individual needs Identify barriers to learning and adapt teaching methods Plan engaging lessons and appropriate resources Encourage participation and independent learning Build a supportive and consistent learning environment Record progress and communicate relevant updates Requirements Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject Experience delivering personalised learning support desirable Ability to engage learners who may be struggling in education Patient, flexible and proactive approach SEND experience advantageous QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. ..... full job details .....
