A well-established and growing metal fabrication company is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead the full production process, from CAD drawings to final output. The focus is on streamlining operations, improving lead times, and driving cost efficiencies.

The Role

You''ll manage all day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high standards. You''ll lead a team of fabricators, welders, fitters, and subcontractors, while keeping production on track and documentation up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily workshop activity with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, design, QA, and directors

Plan workloads, issue work packs, and ensure resources are in place

Lead daily staff briefings and report weekly to senior leadership

Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with company procedures

Maintain accurate records and escalate major issues as needed

Champion continuous improvement and enforce safety standards

Candidate Requirements

Strong knowledge of fabrication and workshop processes

Experience managing production teams in a similar environment

Solid grasp of health & safety standards

Proven ability to drive improvements (Lean, CI, etc.)

Able to read technical drawings and specifications

Strong communicator and team leader

ERP and Microsoft Office experience essential

AutoCAD knowledge a bonus

Salary up to -70,000 per annum, based on experience
