HGV / Plant FitterLocation: HerefordSalary: 35,000 - 40,000Shift: DaysWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV / Plant Fitter to join a busy engineering and maintenance team in Hereford.This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone with strong mechanical experience across HGVs, heavy plant, agricultural machinery and mobile equipment.The RoleYou will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a wide range of vehicles and plant equipment, helping to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.The role will involve working with machinery including:TelehandlersForkliftsExcavatorsDumpersDiggersTractorsHGVsOther heavy plant and agricultural machineryKey ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on HGVs and plantDiagnose and repair mechanical faultsComplete servicing and preventative maintenanceFault-find and repair hydraulic and mechanical systemsAttend to breakdowns and carry out repairsComplete routine inspections and maintenance checksMaintain accurate service and repair recordsEnsure all machinery is maintained to a high standardFollow all relevant health and safety proceduresAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Heavy Vehicle Technician or similar.You will ideally have:Strong mechanical maintenance and repair experienceExperience working on heavy plant, HGVs or agricultural machineryGood knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical ..... full job details .....
