Overview
The James Paget Hospital Pharmacy team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical team and contribute to our growing service. The Pharmacy department is a diverse and inclusive team. We consider requests for flexible hours or part time/job share roles in line with our service requirements. Our vision is to provide safe, high quality seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect. The Pharmacy team work one in every six weekends to support our 7-day service. We are looking for a qualified technician to join our clinical Pharmacy team, providing high quality care to patients admitted on ward areas throughout the hospital.Working pattern
Working hours: Monday 9:00–17:30 (7.5 hours); Wednesday 12:00–17:00 (5 hours); 1 in 6 weekends 09:00–17:30. Rotational duties may include weekend, bank holiday and late clinics as part of the departmental rota.Responsibilities
Act as a member of the pharmacy team, undertaking a full range of duties commensurate with the professional role of a pharmacy technician, under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacist; work within legal requirements, Trust policies and department procedures.Medicines reconciliation and supporting processing of inpatient and discharge medication requests, in the main hospital dispensary and near-patient satellite dispensaries.Rotate through areas according to the departmental rota and participate in the weekend, bank holiday and late clinic rotas.Qualifications and requirements
