Interim Director of Fundraising
Harris Hill is seeking an interim Director of Fundraising for around 10 weeks, working 3 days per week, with one in the office, based in London. The role can either be paid via the agency on a day rate of £257.69 (£67k), on contract via the charity, or potential consultancy day rate where you charge the client direct. About the Role: As Interim Director of Fundraising, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all fundraising activities, ensuring income targets are met and future growth is supported. You will oversee major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, and individual giving, using data-driven insight to optimise performance. Operating on a hybrid basis, you will maintain continuity, enhance donor relationships, and prepare the function for a smooth handover to the incoming permanent Director. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of a short-term strategic fundraising plan to maintain and grow income during the interim period. Oversee major gifts and philanthropy programmes, including managing key donor relationships and supporting high-value cultivation and stewardship. Direct corporate fundraising activity, including pipeline management, proposal development, and relationship building with corporate partners.
